Ayn Rand

Ayn Rand was a refugee from Communist Russia. She wrote novels, two of which, Atlas Shrugged, and The Fountainhead are now selling again like hot cakes. She created a philosophy known as Objectivism, that posits that there is an objective reality. This is a very good thing. I agree with her except that her view of objective reality is truncated in my opinion. Her narrow view of the limits of man’s reason notwithstanding, she is amazing and should be studied and considered for that very clarity that she exhibits within her own reasoned paradigm.

She is at this moment topical. Her views having been possessed of a timelessness since their inception are now relevant more than ever. And her predictions prove her clairvoyance in matters of individual initiative, responsibility and freedom.

She is a necessary resource for any American that hopes to effect or influence the restoration of our quickly crumbling way of life.

We intend to provide links to video excerpts of her most memorable interviews. We will annotate them with Perspective Management supplied by, of course, the Cosmic Fly Swatter. We hope to provide a forum for the consideration, support, and criticism of Ayn Rand’s Objectivism.

In the first 9 1/2 minute interview segment, conducted by Mike Wallace in 1959, Ayn Rand is asked to define her philosophy.  Please watch it here:
