REGULATE MANIPULATE AND FACILITATE Calling all Harvardites
There is a subtitle to this article “Unless You Are Shepard Smith.”
This will make sense in a moment so bear with me. I was doing my early morning surfing reminding myself just how crazy I am. This exercise highlights all the potential domestic terrorist thoughts that are floating in the ethers of my ego, restrained by my superego, and hiding thankfully in my id.
If you are wondering the answer is, No… I don’t believe any of this horse manure either! All this secular intellectual debris however is the stuff that animates our foolish brethren who spent their college days at Harvard. So for most folks reality is fairly clear. Some things change and most things don’t, unless you are Shepard Smith.
I’m not really sorry to pick on him. He is the epitome of just how to be if you want to live in the unreal world that exists in the minds of progressives. At the moment, of course, this reality is on the center stage with the President being propped up along with the rest of a collapsing vision. The evidence is overwhelming. Yesterday Shepard Smith was so beside himself I felt sympathy for him. I even went online and sourced pricing for a year’s supply of Depends adult diapers. Then my id took over and I said to myself “Oh, the heck with him!” The word MetroWienie kept popping in my mind.
Shepard Smith was wetting himself because his email was from folks who wanted to know why Barak Obama won’t produce a birth certificate. He proceeded to draw a parallel between this and people who think that abortion is murder. Then he went on to illustrate his own psychological problems by speaking of guns and the violence that he imagines is festering in those who don’t see the world as he does. He admitted he was frightened which was the only honest and rational thing he said. His fear is of course irrational. It is nevertheless rooted in the discomfort all progressives are condemned to suffer almost daily. They are in charge and yet now their Hope and Change Fairy is having second thoughts. I hear she is booking a vacation to Denmark.
If you are going to live your life and build your political view of things based on the need to regulate manipulate and facilitate “for the good of all” you need to be successful. Without a lot of lies, the progressives are finding this nearly impossible. At the moment though, they have it all. And the media fairies are all on board including Bill O’Reilly who masquerades as a conservative. He is sort-of isn’t he? He is however the legitimacy that the charade needs to stay on top. It won’t last, though. Reality always takes over.
If we hadn’t been so foolish as to found a nation whose prime directive was limited government we wouldn’t be in such a mess. You cannot take your own charter and toss it out and say you are being faithful to it at the same time. Unless you are Shepard Smith. I’ll bet Harvard wishes they had recruited him. He would have been such a credit.
We hold these truths to be self-evident that free markets are all created evil and are endowed by their purveyors with certain inalienable blights and that among these are the powers of greed, oppression, and the pursuit of tyranny. It needs to be regulated and manipulated and facilitated.
In this article by Paul McDonnold:
Is capitalism fatally flawed?
No. But conservatives should embrace
smart regulations, or risk fulfilling Marx’s vision.
The author makes a reasoned case for regulation by channeling Karl Marx. There is some truth to his argument, but only some. Take this sentence:
“…Capitalism itself is not fatally flawed. But a hyperconservative approach to it is… ”
This highlights McDonnold’s lack of philosophical clarity. The word hyperconservative is the key to his error. There is no such thing. You are either conservative or you are not. Conservatism is not Libertarianism. The author makes another muddling mistake by even using the term capitalism which is Marx’s word. Free market economy is a much better description than playing defense against Marxist pap.
All business is by nature amoral. It has any morality only if those conducting it do. This is mistake One for all of us. A corporation is a legal entity designed to protect the men and women who run it from legal culpability. It is still made up of humans. If they are immoral so will be the business. Muddled thinking everywhere! We have morons on our team!
So that McDonnold states:
“Many conservatives will want to stick to the dogmatic ideological line of deregulation. But the capitalism produced by blind support of deregulation is one of bureaucratic corporations, greed-fueled booms, and fear-riddled busts. If conservatives do not embrace regulations that preserve Smith’s capitalism, we might just wake up one day to see it gone and socialism in its place, just as Marx predicted.”
This article’s close is full of half truths. I don’t know where to start.
1. The “ideological line of deregulation;” what does this mean?
Better to have some ideology especially if it supports freedom and limited government (remember that stinking charter?) than no ideology.
2. “But the capitalism produced by blind support of deregulation”
There is that Marxist word, capitalism, again. Then he says that this “capitalism” is “produced” by blind support of deregulation. Free markets are produced by human beings buying and selling not by blindness.
3. “… is one of bureaucratic corporations, greed-fueled booms, and fear-riddled busts.”
Occasionally corporations get big simply because they offer something everybody wants that they are the best at supplying. But “bureaucratic corporations” are caused by a bigness that is made in the government’s image. It is no accident that they are usually structured by favoritism, cronyism and more often than not, some license (graft) involving the government certifying their unfair practices…
“Greed-fueled booms and fear-riddled busts” are caused by,
(a) a growing lack of morality in the business community specifically, and in the society in general, and,
(b) the manipulation (artificial contraction and expansion) of currency and credit by the government in collusion with that private international bank known as the Federal Reserve.
4. The socialism that Marx predicted would occur and is growing at this moment is rising because of regulation not deregulation. Even the word deregulation itself is a misnomer.
The regulations that have caused it are the ones instituted by the WallCapone Street Gang (White House) to cover their asses, and pay themselves (the bankers) back.
They call it the “Too Big To Fail Theory.” And while they were at it they decided not to let a good crisis go to waste so they have seized two auto manufacturers, stolen the equity from average folks and given it to themselves and the unions. Next target? The Health Industry. Government of the Lawyers by the Lobbyists and for the Bankers.
McDonnald suffers from the Neo-Con thinking that progressives are right. But then Neo-Cons are just second rate progressives. He thinks that the evils of unregulated business are attributable to leashes that are too long. He is partially right. There is usually a little truth to everything. But I would suggest that leashes are for dogs. Government interference can produce dogs where men formerly existed. Take the housing crisis.
The Liberal Housing Crash
By Christopher Chantrill
In spite of the title of this article which implies that it was exclusively liberals (progressives is more accurate) who caused the crash, this is a clear article on the housing mess. Don’t forget, that it was the housing bust that was beginning of the greater financial crash including the international gambling casino of Credit Default Swaps. But the truth is buried in a cover up by the Harvardites and the WallCaponeStreet Gang.
Left or Right these days it is now an inane conversation framed in the relative merits of “how much?” to regulate, manipulate, and facilitate. Most folks would be just fine if the east coast morons from Harvard would stay on campus, write papers and have their private orgies.
The government could regulate the threats from those who want to destroy us by providing for the common defense, and then go home. Most folks can see this, unless you are Shepard Smith. Then you wear adult diapers and lose sleep over the truth.
